My career began in high-intensity industries where success was measured in long hours and hard labor, but over time, I realized I wanted my
work to support my life—not replace it.
What ultimately inspired me to get my real estate license was my family. I knew I wanted to get married, become a father, and truly be present—spending as much time as possible with the people I love. The career I had at the time simply wouldn’t allow that kind of life, and I wasn’t willing to sacrifice family for a paycheck.
Although fatherhood has always called me, my immediate focus when I graduated from college was building financial stability. I started my career selling retirement services. For 4 years, I helped clients create plans to build wealth, manage risk, and prepare for the future. It was a referral-based business that taught me invaluable lessons about relationships and the reality that finding clients is a job in itself. While it prepared me well, I didn’t feel passionate enough about retirement planning to see myself doing it long-term.

A close friend of mine worked in the oil and gas industry, and I was intrigued by what he did. With his help, I made the leap and became a contract flowback operator. I worked on bringing new oil wells online—overseeing the process from extraction to separating elements, measuring output, and controlling flow. It was demanding, technical work, but it came with strong financial rewards.
That income allowed me to start a side business renting trailers. In West Texas, many contractors worked months away from home and needed short-term housing. I saw an opportunity and began renting out affordable, comfortable trailers. I loved it. I’ve had an entrepreneurial mindset since I was ten years old, when I started mowing neighbors’ lawns and eventually “hired” a friend to help meet demand. Growing something from the ground up has always energized me.
Still, the flowback job took its toll. I worked 7 days a week, twelve hours a day, doing physically demanding labor in places where I knew no one. There was little time for exercise, healthy meals, or a social life. That reality became impossible to ignore when I met Brittany, my wife, online. I was immediately drawn to her faith, her love for family, and her love for rescuing and saving dogs. As our relationship deepened, I had to be honest with myself—there was no way our future would survive my work schedule. I didn’t want to be an absent husband or a father who missed the everyday moments that matter most.
Thanks to my trailer business, I was able to leave the oil field and focus fully on earning my real estate license. The transition felt natural. I was already used to discipline, long hours, and doing whatever it took to succeed. This time, my motivation was crystal clear: becoming a present, involved father & husband.
In my first year as an agent, I ranked among the top 500 in Dallas. A little over a year ago, Brittany and I welcomed our daughter, Taytum. Today, I’m grateful to work from home and be present with my family every day. I make time for CrossFit, travel—both local and international—and the things that keep me grounded. My faith, my family, my dogs, and my friends are my priority. Real estate gave me the freedom to live that truth.
I genuinely love being a REALTOR®, and that enthusiasm shows up in how available and responsive I am to my clients. I answer calls and texts day or night because I truly enjoy the conversations. My responsiveness helps keep transactions moving forward without unnecessary delays. I don’t believe in being salesy or pushy; instead, my work is grounded in radical honesty and transparency. I tell the truth, offer clear guidance, and make sure clients always know where they stand.
I’m proactive and solution-oriented, constantly looking for ways to overcome challenges rather than waiting for things to happen. Persistence is one of my strongest traits—I don’t stop until we find the right home or successfully sell one. While some agents wait on the sidelines, I stay actively engaged in every step of the way.
Professionalism is non-negotiable for me. I show up on time, keep clients informed, follow through on my word. Above all, I prioritize my clients’ best interests by educating them throughout the process so they can make well-informed decisions.
Sincerely,

Lee Reyes
